In the course of approximately 50 structured and levered investments during the past 17
years, Elmrock has consistently demonstrated an ability to analyze, structure, invest in and
manage innovative transactions. These cutting-edge investments often have tight terms and wide
spreads, resulting in equity-like returns with fixed-income
volatility. A representative
sampling includes:
- Capital Market Assurance Corporation -- a monoline credit insurer for
structured financial product. Elmrock and an investment banking firm led a management buyout and
eventual merger with MBIA.
- Equity investors in $6 billion of levered secured loan trusts with JP
Morgan Chase as swap counterparty and trustee.
- General partner of partnerships purchasing two energy plants currently
managed by FirstEnergy.
- Equity Ownership and first loss noteholders of four commercial paper
conduits with Citicorp as Manager.
- Partnership in three operating divisions of Bausch & Lomb.
- Operating partnership for consumer division of Dow Chemical.
- Preferred stock purchase enabling receivables management for Staples,
Inc.
- Distressed CDO tranches of transactions sponsored by CIBC, TD and
Rabobank.
- Secondary market equity support for tranche sponsored by Bank of
America.
